Here is a small overview of the many activities that abound in our region. Already enjoying the calm, listening to the silence, is such a rejuvenating experience in itself... You will find tourist information, walking maps and a compilation of good addresses at the gîte.
Hikes & walks
The Fayais is the ideal starting point for hikes to the Semois valley, or to the nature reserve of the Croix-Scaille. Several walking maps are available.
With the children, don't miss the ballad of legends in La Forêt, and the little train in Rochehaut.
Historical sites
Several historical sites are worth visiting in the region, including the unmissable Château de Bouillon and its falconry shows, its nocturnal torchlight tours, its medieval festivals, its archaeoscope.
But there are also the castles of Lavaux-Sainte-Anne, Sedan, the small medieval village of Hierges, the Ardois'alle mine and its museum, ...
Flea markets
In summer, the region abounds with flea markets, including that of Nafraiture on the ascent, and that of Alle on August 15th. Bièvre also has several flea markets, over 3000m² of permanent and covered exhibitions. Without forgetting the resource center of the anthill in Gedinne. Kayak
In our region, the Semois comes into its own. Indulge in the joys of kayaking and spend an unforgettable day!
Caves of Han
A little further (35 km), you can visit the caves of Han and its animal park. Qualified as the most beautiful caves in Europe, this visit is a delight for young and old!
Taste Nature
Depending on the time and the weather, you will be able to listen to the roar of the Deer, go to the mushrooms, go to the blueberries, drink at the curative fountain of Saint Fursy, discover the constructions of the beavers, admire the stars and the Milky Way, ...

Our region has some very good gourmet restaurants, but also brasseries or more family restaurants where you can enjoy cuisine prepared with good local products. You will also be given the addresses of some good caterers nearby.

Cross-country skiing, Cycling, Horse riding

Across the border
Indeed, Le Fayais is 2 steps from the French border, less than 10 km as the crow flies. So go for a ride in the French Ardennes with a decidedly different universe. See Monthermé, Sedan, Charleville Mézières, or even Givet and the small medieval village of Hierges. Don't forget to stop at a bakery and bring back some good baguette!
